(More customer reviews)The first computer game I played for hours on end was tetris - this game is at least as addictive, so be warned! Like tetris, it has colored blocks you need to remove from the screen, starts out slow and with each level becomes faster and faster until you just can't keep up any more. There are rows of colored blocks appearing at the bottom with increasing speed. Any three or more adjacent blocks of the same color can be removed by clicking on them, causing the blocks on top to collapse into the open space below. Since rows of blocks continue to appear, you have to keep removing blocks to prevent them from building up to the top at which point the game is over. To help you out, you get the occasional bomb to explode a larger number of blocks at once. It is a game that tests your reaction speed and clicking skills and tempts you into rapid-fire panic clicking all over the screen to destroy the blocks, becoming more intense on the faster levels. Great for mindless stress relief!
The package contains three more modes of game play besides the classic. If the original game play is not challenging enough for you, relapse mode will present you with rows of blocks appearing from the top and the bottom for twice the panic clicking. If you prefer puzzle games or have difficulty with rapid clicking, the puzzle and strategy modes might be right for you. In strategy mode, you can take your time to plan where to click. A new row of blocks will appear for every mouse click you make, so you can't use the rapid-fire method or you'll lose the game faster than you can blink! In puzzle mode, your objective is to clear the blocks on the screen with as few strategic clicks as possible. Puzzles become more difficult and require some thinking. Overall, it is an enjoyable and addictive simple game.
