Brain Booster Review

(More customer reviews)There's Suduko, math (fill in missing # or symbol), jumbled letters, memory (fill in the cells with the correct symbols), colorex (push the blocks so the same colors ones are together), fill in the letter to complete the word, count expert (count how man symbols go in/out of the brain) & that's about it.
It starts you at pre-school (obviously easy) & you get more points for the faster you go & then it levels you up as you succeed. But this is nowhere near the graphics or fun of Big Brain Academy, Brain Spa or Brain Challenge. There was no sound either, menu options are easy to understand as well as a help during play, etc.
I DL a free 60 minute trial from Reflexive com, I checked for virus using Avast anti-virus & didn't get a warning. I also use Spybot & Ad-aware.

(More customer reviews)This is a great game for anyone. You don't even have to like tornadoes to like this game. You can control F0s, F1s, F2s, F3s, F4s, and F5 tornadoes in large praires or towns or dairy farms or cities or even make maximum destruction in an amusment park and destroy tons of rollercoasters and ferris wheels. You can make objectives in the game or just freeplay by pressing tornado alley on the menu. Enemies like police choppers or planes or weather chaser trucks will bring down your power. When the power bar gets empty, the tornado flies back into the clouds, the weather gets sunny, and it's game over. However, it isn't that challeging, it's a highly-recommended game for anyone!

(More customer reviews)I was looking forward to getting this product for my 7 year old daughter as a supplement to her school work (second grade). Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed with the product and felt that it was a complete waist of money. Maybe it is the way the lessons are presented, but I found them to be preschool in nature. It may be useful for children who are struggling with basic concepts, but definitely not for the "average" elementary schooler. The included Encyclopedia was the ONLY thing I found useful.

(More customer reviews)I just got this software this morning and wondered, "Will this just be another version of Bejeweled?"
What a wonderful surprize this program is turning out to be. The game is simply enough to play, colorful and with bright jewel and bonuses...BUT IT IS SO MUCH MORE. This is a wonderful way to learn the story of Moses and the people of Israel, as you take them from slavery to their a new life.
At first, I thought that the little figures at the bottom of the page would be an irritating distraction; but then, I began to see funny things happening below the puzzle. I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone who might not have bought this game yet; but I had to laugh, when locus showed up at the bottom of the page to pester the little egyptian figures.
The artwork in this program is well done. The story and 'the messages' that accompany it are well written and thought provoking. As a Sunday school teacher and a grandma I could not help but think of how many children could have fun and learn from this simply and educationing game. I am even thinking that this might be the perfect Christmas gift for several people/families this year. This game is certainly suitable and fun for anyone from age 7 to 70 years old.
My husband's computer is Microsoft Vista, and I don't think that this program will work on his computer. I will try to download it for him, because I know that he will love it. Afterall, what pastor wouldn't? :D
The only reason that I did not give this program 5 stars is that the music is annoying. I shut the sound off almost immediately.
I do hope that the company which made this game will make more of these Bible related programs. I would like to see people have the opportunity to learn more of these wonderful stories in this fun format or something similar...maybe a hidden objects game in Bible settings. Hmmm? Can you find the baby Jesus in Bethehem...or a shephard...or a star? That could be fun. Well, it was just a passing thought.

Luxor 2 for Macintosh Review

(More customer reviews)This is a pretty-looking game of traveling beads which is relaxing in its simplicity and monotony. It's a good way to unwind and get your mind on something other than work etc. Its colors are beautiful and the backgrounds are pretty. So it's not Call of Duty or Halo, but it can be played by everyone in the family. There is no violence or blood. It's strictly arcade and manual dexterity.
