Totally a rip-off. It's actually the same as "High Achiever Biology", don't know why they can change the name and sell it like this is another product.
Every chapter has only about 10 simple questions - you can easily find more and better questions by google.
Generally speaking, education software is not helpful. It looks like they were created by IT guys, the content on that subject is usually not good. Ask school teacher to recommend a good book in that subject and it will be much better.

QuickStudy English Grammar Review

Why don't developers learn to make things intersting. We already have so much trouble getting the average middle school and high school student studying English, why do we also make them read boring essay's on historical figures?
I do appreciate the attempt to look like a video game with plaents etc, and the lessons are clearly writen with multiple choice answers that encourage analysis. However, that is where the good stuff ends.
For an ESL or maybe an adult refreshing their grammar this isn't bad, but for the average kid, the essays would put them to sleep. I would love to find a program that has short stories. Something that is fun and exciting. Instead we learn about Clara Barton.
Because this program wouldn't interest the average middle schooler or highschooler because of the subject matter in the examples, I have to give it three stars. I would give it fewer but the style of the quiz will prepare them for the ordeals of the SAT's, even if the subjects are boring.

A Sanskrit Reader: Text and Vocabulary Review

A Sanskrit Reader: Text and Vocabulary

I'm studying sanskrit using this marvellous reader and think it's the best sanskrit reader available. After having worked through Perry's Sanskrit Primer, one should be able to take up Lanman's Reader the way its author designed it in the preface, i.e. starting with the easy Nala Story of the Mahabharata. Then follow the more difficult Hitopadesha and the Kathasaritsagara. The last two parts (Manava Dharmashastra and the Veda) are the most difficult ones. However notes, vocabulary carefully graded progression of the texts make it a highly enjoyable device for learning more about the language but also about the fascinating realm of ancient indian literature and culture. I highly recommend this book!
