In "St. Patrick's Day" by Anne Rockwell we visit Mrs. Madoff's class and learn about St. Patrick's Day traditions and the history behind the holiday.
Cayden: "I want to wear green on St. Patrick's Day. I don't know if I have anything green though! I liked when the kids wrote the story about St. Patrick and I liked the pictures that they drew. My favorite part of the book was the part about how St. Patrick got rid of all of the snakes in Ireland. I also liked the shamrock part. Could we try to make soda bread on St. Patrick's Day?"

We really enjoy Anne Rockwell's holiday books as they are both educational and fun to read. Not only did my son learn a lot about St. Patrick's Day but I learned a couple of new things as well. The illustrations in "St. Patrick's Day" were entertaining and really got my son excited for the upcoming holiday!
