Boys and girls (and their parents--believe me!) will love this fun, exciting football game from Humongous Entertainment. It features characters familiar from other "Jr. Sports League" series: Easy-going Keisha, lightening-fast Pete, and others of different ages, races, sizes, and abilities.
The action is fast and the selection of plays is great fun (you can also create your own plays!). Passing plays are the most difficult; you might want to encourage your child to focus on running, kicking, and defense, and help him or her with passing. (Our 5-year old eventually got the hang of the whole game). You can set 3 difficulty levels, play a league series culminating in a the "Super-Colossal Cereal Bowl" or play single "pick-up" games, play in preset or random weather conditions, and even make up your own player with different skills (it's fun to name this player after yourself)!
A few complaints: Once again, Pete Wheeler is the athletic, but intellectually challenged kid. I found some of his dialogue offensive--but it offers a good chance to talk with your kids about stereotypes. The compilation of player stats is good, but not as complete as the Baseball game offered by Humongous. A creative and fun addition is the inclusion of several NFL players (including Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Randall Cunningham, Barry Sanders, Brett Favre, and John Elway) as kids playing along with the Jr. Sports League cast. Now, not that I ever play this game, but I recommend Keisha on defense, Pete at running back, Barry Sanders at tight end, Annie as kicker.....
(I also recommend highly the Backyard Baseball Game by Humongous.)

Cinderella's Castle Designer Review

This is a dreadfully awkward and boring game offering limited choices for creative players. You would think Disney, with all the money they've made off of kids and parents would put a little more investment into creating a truly good game, rather than simply trading on the whole "princess" marketing thing they're into now. The sound quality on this game is as bad as the game itself. My four-year-old, who is perfectly capable of playing other games of this type for this age group, kept having to ask me for help because she couldn't hear what the annoying narrator was saying. If you want a GREAT game that allows kids to decorate a castle and have some fun, try Barbie as Rapunzel. Yes, it's Barbie, and that's a downside in itself, but the game is so well done with such high-quality animation and sound, and it seems as if they put some money into the content of the game itself. It's very engaging and my daughter can't tear herself away. Disney could learn a thing or two from this game.

Cinderella's Castle Designer builds on the creative and compelling legacy of Disney Princess games by giving girls ages 5 and older the opportunity to create and decorate the castle of their dreams. Once finished, they will experience a wonderful storybook adventure that enables them to free Cinderella from the magic spell that locks her in the Fairy Tale book. Girls can customize the exterior of the castle, design the landscaping, and furnish the entire castle in a unique 3-D interface that lets them explore every nook and cranny of their castle creation.
