(More customer reviews)This product does not live up to the scholarly level of quality that one expects from Oxford. The software company FINGER used to run the program does not offer a 1-800 number for technical support...I thought this product might be compatable to Encarta Encyclopedia...not even close! Do not purchase this software...purchase Encarta or Britanica; and make sure the software is not operated by FINGER. Shame on Oxford for allowing their name and reputation to be tarnished!

NEW OXFORD THESAURUS OF ENGLISH Review

(More customer reviews)I installed the Thesaurus on my new Dell workstation running Windows XP. I soon observed peculiarities when I was editing in Word or Adobe Pagemaker. The automatic pop-up feature of the Thesaurus interfered with my editing. I could no longer select something and then type over it. The Thesaurus came up instead. I couldn't live with this, nor could I find a way to change that behavior, so I uninstalled the product. I cannot use it. I went back to a 13-year-old copy of American Heritage Dictionary (and thesaurus), which works fine without automatic pop-up.
