I purchased this game with no knowledge of its contents (a big mistake) thinking it might be similar the "The Movies" which was a fun game. It was nothing like that. The graphics are very simplistic - they look like something from 20 years ago. You basically have a movie studio with various buildings represented. Say you want to hire a leading man for your film - you click on the appropriate building and your little man walks to the building which opens a screen with a list of potential actors available. There are no 3d images (or even 2d images) - just a list of names, their experience in various genres, their usual pay requirements, and their mood (happy, neutral, bad). Then you have a bit of back and forth negotiating a price. It is basically the same for the director, etc.
It is hard to believe that someone would market a game like this in 2010. If it was made by a high school kid as a class project I would give him/her a good grade for a decent first attempt but I can't believe this is a commercially marketed game. To be fair I have to admit I only played for about 10 minutes before quitting. Does it get better? I'll never know. It was not worth continuing.
