(More customer reviews)I purchased this product for my daughter who will be spending the next 2 years at school in South Africa. What is not disclosed is that this is an outdated map. While the ad implies that it is a current version the one I received was from 2008. I did not discover this until I had started the installation process and a warning was displayed. When I called to return the map software to ANTONline they refused to accept the return despite their misrepresentation of the product. I have no doubt that they deliberatly use deceptive trade practices to defraud buyers and sell an outdated product. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ANTONline AGAIN AND SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY FROM THEM. You definitely would want the latest map update. I downloaded the latest 2010 maps from Garmin which were far more comprehensive and up to date. The 2010 download from Garmin was accomplished online and loaded on my Nuvi. The 2010 maps were definitely worth the slight difference in price.

Designcad 3Dmax V18 Review

(More customer reviews)I have been using DesignCad products since they were ProDesign on a DOS computer in the early 80's. I have DesignCad 3DMax version 18 and I use it sparingly at this point do to the bugs in the program. Version 12 is the most rock solid version that I have dealt with, so many times if the version 18 locks up on me, I have to resort to version 12 (or ver 16) to get something done that I need to do. The newer features in version 18 are nice to have, but a program that does what you need to do without crashing is better than a program that has more bells and whistles, but crashes ramdomely as you work.
I am in the construction business and I use DesignCad on a daily basis to plan our construction work. I work in 2D and 3D modes and switching between the 2 modes is efortless. You can draw just about anything you want in DesignCad and it is much more intuitive and user friendly than AutoCAD. I'd much rather pay a few hundred dollars for this program to be solid and crash proof, but that does not seem to be where the developes are choosing to go. [...]

Unfortunately, it won't work with the latest version of Quicken, though there was nothing on Amazon to indicate that it wasn't - in fact the product page says that it IS compatible with Quicken, I took for granted that it would work with the version of Quicken I'm running...

(More customer reviews)I have the Mac version at work and since I needed a font manager for my PC at home I decided to get a familiar brand. Well, the difference is huge. I've used it only a few days and it seems to work OK, however the offered features are by far more limited, which puzzles me why??!!?
1. On the Mac version they have "keywords" that describe fonts like "script", "serif" and so on. You can narrow your search a lot if you click on any of those. Besides, you can create your own keywords. This feature is entirely missing from the Windows version.
2. When I search for a font I have to scroll down through all the fonts I have in order to find one that I'm looking for. When you have over a 1000 fonts that becomes annoying! The Mac version has a "find" field which lets you type the first few characters of the name of the font you are looking for and it gives you all fonts that start with those - uh, much faster and user friendly!
3. The Mac version lets you create your own sets of favorite fonts, so you don't have to scroll through all the sets you have, this again is missing. (Disclaimer: this maybe due to the fonts being on a server, but i'm not sure if that's the case)
Overall, I'd say a disappointing job for a company who has alredy accomplished alot with their Mac version. You have more work to do!

iSymphony NC1 Full-Size Noise Cancelling Stereo Headphones Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these over a year ago and I still use them regularly. The black padding is cracked in a couple places, but doesn't impair its use in any way. I assume that I'll get at least another 2+ years out of them.
Its convenient having the volume control right on the headphones. When a song changes to another one that has a different volume, you don't have to mess with the computer to adjust the sound.
I haven't found the sound canceling very useful, however. It actually backfires on some sounds, particularly construction/remodeling sounds. When a hammer strikes, the headphones make a loud-painful popping sound strait into your ears. I've found that it doesn't cancel people's voices very much either, if anything it makes them more clear by canceling everything else. When the canceling is activated, the headphones make a soft hissing sound and make your ears feel like their popping (similar to on an airplane, but not as strong). If you leave them on for long enough, the sound and pressure stop being a bother, but it doesn't work very well having to keep turning it on and off. But even without the noise canceling, it can be hard to hear people talking to you if you're not paying attention to them.
The sound quality is better than the speakers on laptops, but I can't compare it to other sound systems (due to lack of experience).
Using for elongated time periods (above one or two hours) also causes your ears to be a little sore and sweaty from being pressed down.
These headphones are good if you want simple-inexpensive over the ear headphones.

(More customer reviews)I bought this cause I have kept saying "that would be a good t-shirt" (inappropriate and vulgar phrases), and wanted to start creating my own. The program is really easy to use but the graphics that come with it are something that you would expect to see in a child's coloring book. You can post your own pics or drawings on the shirts which is a plus. Also I have noticed that black inked words tend to show up gray once you've ironed them on to the shirt with the provided paper. I will try a different brand and see if that paper works beter. All in all it was worth what I paid for. The Hane's website also has some professional heat presses that you can purchase if you get tierd of ironing stuff on by hand.
