At the Supermarket Review

The author updates the classic book "The Supermarket" she wrote with her husband more than thirty years ago. For the parent who wants to prepare her child for a trip to the supermarket, this book will ensure no surprises. The doors open automatically, the parent grabs a shopping cart, and the child helps her fill it with all the usual grocery products: vegetables, fruits, milk, eggs, and bread and peanut butter. The little boy tells about the trip, describing what they are buying, and what his favorite foods are. The eager extremely well-behaved child reminds his mother not to forget that tomorrow is his birthday, and they need to buy the ingredients to make a birthday cake; they make the cake when they get home. The acrylic gouache on cold-press watercolor paper illustrations are vibrant and colorful, and sized nicely for reading aloud to a preschool group.
