(More customer reviews)I was carried along in this novel through the eyes of Zee James, Jesse James' young bride. The author Rebecca Rockwell tells the story in journal form, and is able to catch the essence of their intense relationship, building the mystery, uncertainty and angst as the story unfolds through the years. Rockwell seems to be able to see through the eyes of the heroine, feeling her passion and expressing it in such a way as to bring the characters alive.
