Actually, this game is less than average overall. I won't say it's terrible, because it's not. The artwork and atmosphere are actually pretty decent, but everything else (such as plot, pacing, and level design) I saw in this game has been done better in a hundred other less expensive games. For instance, "Marine Sharpshooter 3" is a budget title that cost less, but has far better level design in spite of lesser artwork, and is actually quite fun to play, whereas this game is strictly linear, uninspired, and is pretty much lackluster as far as gameplay goes. It's "okay", but certainly not much fun. There are plenty of first-person shooters that are in the twenty dollar or less range and are a few years old that play much better than this one.
And while the graphics aren't bad, it runs quite sluggish on my AMD64 3700+ with 2 gigs of ram and a 7900GS/256. This machine will run most state-of-the-art games very smoothly, but this game chokes on it. I believe the game engine they used was developed in-house by the game's developer, and is simply not optimized well. So even if you've got a decent machine, your framerates will likely be in the 20 frames per second range on average. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
It's not the worst game I've ever played. But it's simply uninspired and chugs along slowly, making gameplay quite frustrating at times. Dig around in any bargain bin and you can find many better games. That said, the developers do have potential, it's just not realized in this game. Maybe they'll get it right with their next effort.
